DailyPhotos > Christine  > Smugmug Galleries > Photo a Day (Project 365) > Photo a Day Project 2009

A Photo a Day (also known as Project 365) - What is it?? It's exactly what the name implies - a photo is posted each and every day for a full year. You can choose to impose whatever rules or criteria you wish- some photographers insist that the photo be taken the same day it's posted, others will post an older photo that they "Photoshop" the day they post it, and still others don't impose any rules at all. My goal for this project is to take several photos every day and choose the best from that day to post. I have been able to stick to it for the most part (with one or two exceptions so far). I carry my Nikon D300 wherever I go- it's now like one of my limbs. It's one of the most challenging things I've ever committed to doing but so far it's been well worth it. If you've got a minute to spare, go ahead and hit the slideshow button. And don't be shy about giving a photo a “thumbs up” or even commenting if you see something you like. :D

Lastly, for those visitors that aren't members of Smugmug, the photos posted to this gallery are critiqued by photographers that belong to the "Daily Community". If you click on the "DailyPhotos" link above (it's next to my name), you will be taken to a gallery with photos posted by other the members. There's a lot of beautiful work out there.... you can get lost for hours.

Christine > Day 43: Wine with Dinner
February 12, 2009
It was a crazy day at work today- a bunch of us went out to dinner after work and I ordered some red wine (my favorite grape, Pinot Noir). I didn't get any good pics today so this is it. Nothing exciting but I sure did enjoy my drink. :)
Christine > Day 44: Clay Mask
February 13, 2009
It's Friday night and it's been a long work week. I like to give myself a clay mask facial on Fridays so it can clean my pores of a weeks worth of gunk. It makes my face feel smooth and clear when I rinse it off. My husband always gives me the same look of fright when he see's me like this, and we both laugh every time. I actually gave him a facial once- his hair was pulled back with one of those girly bands and he pursed his lips for the photo. Priceless. He's got a great sense of humor. ;)
Christine > Day 45: Kramer sleeping with sleepers in his eyes.
February 14, 2009
Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Hope you have something warm and fuzzy to snuggle with. ;)
Christine > This is not part of my dailies but a few people expressed seeing the picture of my husband Ken with facial mask. This photo was taken almost 10 years ago in a single-wide trailor, very temporary quarters at the time while we were building a home in the Adirondacks. Note the cheezy '70's decor. It's a lousey photo and it looks like there is dust on it but it's not - don't know what it is. It's funny none the less. And yes, he agreed to let me post it, albeit reluctantly. :)
Christine > Day 46: Seagulls on the Sound
February 15, 2009
It was a beautiful day here on the North Fork. I practiced my tap dance routine with two of my crazy fellow tappers and then went out on my own to shoot some photos. I found myself at the beach where I spent some time with these curious birds.
Christine > Day 47: Risotto
February 16, 2009
This photo was taken for my food blog (threebitesfoodblog.com). It's best viewed as X2Large.
Christine > Day 48: Tree Lined Street
February 17, 2009
I'm one day late in posting this photo. I was driving through a pretty part of Southampton during my lunch break when I happened upon this road with the most unusually beautiful bare trees. I immediately pulled over, got out my camera and thought to myself, "If I had $12 million, this is where I'd live." I just loved the hundreds of twisty branches that lined the street. It was kind of a grey day so, since I'm a beginner at Photoshop, I made it sepia since I don't know how to make the sky a vibrant blue.
Christine > Day 49: Aidan
February 18, 2009
OK, I'm cheating. I'm a day behind in my posting so I uploaded a photo I took a few months ago. Aidan is my adorable, sweet, smart and interesting nephew- one of my favorite people on this planet. And how could you resist those lips lol!!!! He has a brother that is equally adorable but they are very different and luckily have parents that embrace each of their uniqueness.
Christine > Day 50: Diana
February 19, 2009
She was very reluctant to have her photo taken- I don't know why because she's gorgeous. She's one of those people that just don't know it I guess. She's newly engaged and just got braces to make her already decent teeth perfect for the big day. I promised to only get her eye lashes.
